As the London Freight Club’s youngest appointed Chairman, Alistair’s ambition is to continue to celebrate the traditions and values of the club’s prestigious heritage, whilst representing and connecting with the next generation of shipping professionals, ensuring the club remains relevant in modern-day 2018.
Starting his career at 16 as an office junior (or ‘tea boy’ as he refers to it now) at Mediterranean Shipping Company (UK) Ltd., Alistair has progressed his career through various sales and management roles within the organisation and today is a member of the Line’s Senior Commercial Management Team as Senior Customer Development Manager.
A member of the London Freight Club for over 10 years, and the committee for over three, Alistair views his appointment of Chairman in 2018 as “one of the proudest moments of my career so far” and adds “I’m mostly looking forward to getting to know as many existing members as possible and welcoming the new faces to the Club over the next twelve months. It’s our ‘community’ culture that keeps our values alive and that’s down to the genuine relationships that the London Freight Club allows us to develop.”
